Select any one of the boards and hand it to the child. Let her view the board and count the number of spots on the cow's body. ( Count the spots from left to right with the help of the finger). She then picks-up the corresponding numerical card and places it on one of the vacant square spaces. Repeat the the same procedure, only this time the answer will be shown with the help of numbered figures / objects. Once all the 3 steps are completetd ask her to form a string of colourful buttons as per count. Now get on with the rest of the numbers and make Archimedes proud!
